Abstract

This research is a cross-sectional study aimed to study factors affecting the practices of diabetes mellitus patients. The sample (n=334) is a diabetes mellitus patients who receiving treatment at Tambon Health Promoting Hospital in Muang District,Tak Province. The sample selected by systematic sampling. The data were collected by a questionnaire. The data analyzed by using descriptive statistics and Chi-square test. Results of the study indicated that the diabetes mellitus patients had a moderate level of receiving and practice with 40.7%, and 62.8% respectively. The relationship between receiving level involving the diabetes mellitus disease related in the practices of diabetes mellitus patients at the significant level of 0.05. When considering of the receiving level related the practices of diabetes mellitus patients composed of self-care, preventing of complications, taking medicines and medical appointment and the mental health care, emotion, and social at the significant level of 0.05.
