Factors Related to the Health Promotion of Village Public Health Volunteers in Mae Tho Sub–District, Muang Tak District, Tak Province

Abstract

This cross-sectional survey research aimed to study Factors related to the health promotion of village public health volunteers in mae tho sub – district, muang tak district, Tak province. The sampling group of this study comprised 143 village village public health volunteers in mae tho sub – district, muang tak district, tak province. aging between 21 - 58 years. These samples were selected by using stratified random sampling technique. Data were collected during the August 2020 to the October 2020. Then the data were analyzed by using frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, and Pearson's correlation coefficient statistics. The results of the study showed that most village public health volunteers had knowledge about health promotion in a good level at 97.20 %, the overall attitudes about health promotion of village public health volunteers were indicated in a moderate level at 44.80 %, and the health promotion of village public health volunteers as a whole was revealed in moderate level at 46.90 %. When analyzing the relationships by using Pearson's correlation coefficient statistics, they were found the following factors; personal factors of profession, marital status, period of length of being village public health volunteers;  factors of the health promotion of village public health volunteers, including the attitudes about health promotion of village public health volunteers, and the mentioned factors were correlated with the health promotion of village village public health volunteers in mae tho sub – district, muang tak district, tak province. at a statistically significant level. (p-value <0.05) The findings of this study suggested that responsible agencies in the area should have the promotion of awareness on running the activities of village public health volunteers to be more efficient.
