Abstract

The objectives of this research were 1) to study Political Participation level of The Government Pharmaceutical Organization employees in the election of the members of the House of Representatives, year 2019. 2) to compare the Political Participation level and Personal Factor of The Government Pharmaceutical Organization employees in the election of the members of the House of Representatives, year 2019. and 3) to study the problems and guidelines for enhancing the participation of The Government Pharmaceutical Organization employees in the election of the members of the House of Representatives, year 2019. This research is a survey study and descriptive research methodology is used. The sample consisted of 331 employees of The Government Pharmaceutical Organization and obtained by stratified sampling. Research tools include questionairs. Data were collected with the use of a questionnaire and analyzed by percentage, average, standard deviation and using T-test and One Way Anova. The research findings showed that : The overall level of participation of The Government Pharmaceutical Organization employees was moderate level. The results of a study comparing the level of participation of The Government Pharmaceutical Organization employees in the elections of members of the House of Representatives, year 2019, classified by personal factors were found as follows; It was found that males participated in the elections overall higher than females. It was found that the samples with education level lower than bachelor’s degree had higher overall level of participation in the elections than bachelor’s degree. There were no differences for Age, Marital status and Working period in the elections. 3) Problems and obstacles in participating in the elections, it was found that employees lack support, facilitation in expressing the right to vote and the election publicity is not thorough. The solution to the problem, Cultivate the concept of democracy with awareness of the use of the right to vote for society and the public benefit. There should be a campaign for understanding and public relations for the election to cover all areas. The guidelines for promoting the participation in the elections are The Government Pharmaceutical Organization should support the development of knowledge, public relations in a modern and thorough format and facilitation promote welfare and election motivation.
