The Risk Behavior for Chronic Kidney Disease of General Population in Ubon Ratchathani Province

Abstract

This research is descriptive. The objective of studying the risk behavior for chronic kidney disease of the general population in Ubon Ratchathani Province. Using research data from a sample of 294 people. The research tool consists of a questionnaire was divided into two parts: 1) general information of the samples: and 2) questionnaire related risk behavior for CKD. The tool was evaluated its, content validity by the experts and tested its reliability using Cronbach's alpha coefficient (R=0.86). The statistics used for data analysis were frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation. The research result of the sample had a low level of the risk behavior for CKD overall (  =0.86, S.D.=.44). The risk behavior of CKD in each aspect with the highest mean score was eating behavior ( = 1.36, S.D.= .39), exercise behavior ( = 1.11, S.D.= .73) and drinking water behavior ( = 0.86, S.D.= .96, respectively. The behavior of the sample group with the lowest mean score with low risk level is supplemental eating behavior ( = 0.23, S.D.= .37), smoking behavior ( = 0.26, S.D.= .72), and warning signs of CKD ( = 0.37, S.D.= .35) Therefore, the results of this descriptive research to know the basic health information of personnel. Including an accept the risk factors for CKD. Which will be good basic information to lead to awareness and planning to change behavior appropriately. Enabling the organization to develop the practice of personnel to have good health can affect the performance effectively.
