Leadership of School Administrative Approaches to Develop the Efficiency of Vocational Students at The High Vocational Certificate Level

Abstract

The purposes of this research were to 1) study the leadership elements of school administration for efficient vocational student development at the high vocational certificate level, 2) determine the use of school administrative leadership to create efficient vocational student development at the high vocational certificate level, and 3) evaluate the suitability of the use of school administrative leadership to create efficient vocational student development at the high vocational certificate level. The target group used in the research were 352 public vocational school directors at the high vocational certificate level in Thailand, and 17 experts in vocational education and educational administration. The instrument used in the research were questionnaire, indepth-interview, and the suitability evaluation form. The statistics for data analysis were the mean, standard deviation, linear regression analysis, and content analysis. The results showed that 1) the leadership elements of school administration for efficient vocational student development at the high vocational certificate level can be separated into two sets of elements which included of 9 elements of the vocational administration for the security of the society and the nation and 9 elements of the vocational administration for the manpower development to create Thailand’s competitiveness. 2) The use of school administrative leadership to create efficient vocational student development at the high vocational certificate level comprised of (1) the contents of the school administrative leadership for the security of the society and the nation, and the manpower development to create Thailand’s competitiveness, (2) the process of using school administrative leadership including of planning, implementation, and evaluation. 3) The suitability of the use of the school administrative leadership to create efficient vocational student development at the high vocational certificate level were at the highest with low variance.
