Abstract

Objectives of this research were to study the problem of conservation of local cultural traditions, the participation of people and to Presenting guidelines for preserving local traditions and cultures in Chaiyaphum Province. The research methodology is qualitative research. It is a field study using in-depth interview method. From 28 key informants and presented the information by descriptive method. Findings were as follow : 1) Basic problems related to conservation and restoration of local cultural traditions in communities of Chaiyaphum Province, consisting of budget, economic conditions, the entry of technology, the lack of cooperation of the people in the community, cultural diversity under globalization and Covid-19 outbreak problem 2) Participation of the people in promoting, supporting and preserving local cultural traditions in Chaiyaphum Province consists of participation in finding problems and causes of problems in the community. Participation in development planning Participation in operations participating in receiving benefits Participation in the track Examining traditions and culture 3) Guidelines for preserving local traditions and cultures in Chaiyaphum Province consist of knowledge promotion and knowledge transfer. Building relationships for each generation (Social interaction) Improvement in accordance with social change. Support from government agencies Building a network of wisdom including local cultural traditions in basic education courses.
