Singapore Brass Festival 2019: The Creative Economy Model Development by Music Festival

The research objectives were: 1. to study the guideline for organizing the brass wind music festival in Singapore and use it as a guideline for the development of musicians and brass band society in Singapore; and 2. to study the method of urban development through creative economy. This research uses the Mixed Methods Research, which is a combination of two types of research: Model 1, Quantitative Research by studying from 3 target groups, namely, Generation B (Baby Boomer Generation), Generation X and Generation Y, a total of 405 people. Using Stratify random sampling, the data were analyzed using descriptive statistics with percentage, mean, standard deviation. Inferential statistical values were analyzed for the composition and structural model. The second model is qualitative research. The study from the target group consisted of entrepreneurs, representatives of government agencies, private sectors, institutions, experts or artists in music and tourists, a total of 45 people by studying and surveying the actual area In-depth Interview (IDI). The results showed that the event like a brass wind instrument festival in Singapore can be an effective way to develop Singaporean musicians and benefit to brass band community in Singapore. There were many musicians and the general public interested in attending the event. This has a positive effect on stimulating the economy and trade in many aspects and it can be developed as a means of urban development through the creative economy development method.
