Abstract

This academic article on Strategic Analysis and Planning for Success of Government Organizations was conducted based on the rapidly changing environment causing modern organizations to be adjusted as strategic organizations, requiring the concept of strategic management to plan overall operations of organizations to obtain a new image and vision in the future. Analysis was conducted by using SWOT as a tool for evaluating the situation of organizations or projects. This enabled executives to determine strengths and weaknesses based on the internal environment, opportunities, and obstacles from the external environment, as well as the effects on potential caused by these factors on organizational operations. To establish the guidelines for achieving desired occurrences in the future, they must be based on information in a number of different areas, i.e., considering occurrences leading to potential or capabilities of organizations and environmental changes including the economy, society, politics, and environment. This article aims to present strategic analysis and planning of government organizations as well as analysis of the internal and external environment for the benefits of personnel, enabling organizations to apply knowledge to mutually make organizations more efficient and prosperous, further leading to efficient practical operations in organizations.
