The Guidelines for Learning Organization Development of Schools Under Office of the Non-Formal and Informal Education at Central Area

This research aimed to study: 1. the current and desirable conditions of being a learning organization of schools, and 2. the development guidelines for a learning organization of educational institutions under the Office of Non-Formal and Informal Education at Central Area. The research sample, derived from cluster sampling, consisted of 310 teachers and the key informants for the interview were six school administrators. The instruments for data collection were a questionnaire and an interview form. To analyze the data, the researcher conducted the statistics consisting of percentage, frequency, mean, standard deviation, Modified Priority Needs Index (PNIModified), and content analysis for the qualitative research. The results revealed that 1) a learning organization of schools under the Office of Non-Formal and Informal Education in the Central Region showed the overall high-level current conditions and the highest-level desirable conditions. 2) The development guidelines for a learning organization of educational institutions under the Office of Non-Formal and Informal Education in the Central Region were summarized as follows: (1) A well-rounded person: School administrators should encourage personnel to be lifelong learner for self-improvement. (2) Conceptualization: School administrators reinforced personnel to be a researcher in systematic work development planning. (3) Shared vision: School administrators activated personnel to participate in formulating the vision to achieve the goals systematically. (4) A Learning team: School administrators organized activities to promote knowledge exchange for all personnel. (5) Systematic thinking: School administrators established a brainstorming session to implement the PDCA process and promote the development of thought potential.
