Modern Accounting Practice Skills on the Job Success of Accountants under Private Vocational Education

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to study the relationship of the modern accounting practice skills on the job success. Simple random sampling was a sampling method of 91 accountants in the private vocational. The instrument used in this research was a questionnaire. The statistics used were the mean, standard deviation, and multiple regression analysis. The results of the research showed that the modern accounting practice skills in knowledge and skills in accounting professions; accounting profession ethics; and information technology had a positive relationship with the job success. Besides, language and laws related to accounting; and analysis and problem solving are no effect on the job success. Therefore, the accountants in the private vocational should be given to self-development in professional knowledge and application of information technology knowledge. Moreover, they commit to professional ethics in order to create job success that will bring good outcome to the organization.
