Factors Effecting Decision-Making of Thai Travellers Who Come to Visit Loei Province

Abstract

The purposes of this research were to study 1) the demographic characteristics of tourists traveling to Loei Province, and 2) decision making of Thai tourists to travel to Loei Province. This study is a quantitative research.The sample group consisted of 400 Thai tourists. A questionnaire was used as a tool to collect data. The data were analyzed by Frequency and Percentage.  The reliability level was at 95 and .05 level of statistical significance. The results showed that 1) 62.25% of the respondents were females; 57.50% of them were under the age of 30; 61.50% of them finished bachelor degree or equivalent; 66.00% of them were single; 24.50% of them were students; and 70.25% of them earned 20,000 baht income or lower than this income; 2) the decision making of Thai tourists’ traveling to Loei Province, it was found that  being friendly of local people was aspect of other people’s recommendation, it was found that perception from shared experience of the tourists visiting in Loei Province on social media. For the special promotion of tourist organization, it was found that the tourists was motivated by religious tourist attraction such as Phi Ta Khon Festival in Dan Sai District. The Attitude and perception aspect, it was found that tourism diversity, cold weather, and interesting festivals and culture. It can be concluded that Loei Province has a variety of cultural tourism resources. There are tourism resources still in perfect condition. The community in Loei Province is strong. The townspeople have a good heart. It has a high public spirit and is a safe city.
