A Study of Learning Achievement and Satisfaction Towards English of Grade 5 Students Instructed by Multimedia Online Lessons

Abstract

The purposes of this research were 1) to create and calculate efficiency of

Multimedia Online Lessons in English on Having fun with activities of grade 5 students in order to meet the E1/ E2 of 80/80 criteria, 2) compare learning achievement before and after instructed in English on Having fun with activities of grade 5 students by Multimedia Online Lessons, 3) examine the students’ satisfaction toward learning in English on Having fun with activities of grade 5 students by Multimedia Online Lessons. The sample population consisted of selected grade 5/5 students instructed in English at Bangchan (Pleumwittayanusorn) by 34 students using Purposive sampling, The research instruments consisted of Multimedia Online Lessons, lesson plans, An English Achievement Test, and a students’ satisfaction questionnaire towards learning. The data were analyzed by mean, standard deviation, percentage and tested hypotheses with t-test dependent sample.

The findings indicated were as follows: 1) The result of calculating efficiency of Multimedia Online Lessons in English on Having fun with activities of grade 5students; the efficiency was 79.90/79.50 which meet the criteria of 80/80.  2) The students’ learning achievement after instructed by Multimedia Online Lessons in English on Having fun with activities was higher than before instructed at the statistically significant level of .05.

3) The students’ satisfaction toward learning on Having fun with activities by Multimedia Online Lessons was at the highest level (= 4.53, S.D.= 0.67).
