Guidelines on Promoting the Participation of Parents in the Provision of Education in Schools under the Pattaya Education Bureau

Abstract

This research is a quantitative and qualitative research. Samples used in quantitative research are 385 persons of parents in the Provision of Education in Schools under the Pattaya Bureau in 2018, finding the sample size from the table of Krejcie & Morgan (1970). After that random sample with Simple Random Sampling. The research tool are 4 terms of opinion questions on the promotion of parents’ potential in the Provision of Education in Schools under the Pattaya Bureau by 5-level estimation scale, 0.85 of reliability. Static for analysis data are frequency, percent, average and standard deviation. Sample used in qualitative research are : 5 persons of executive education in the Provision of Education in Schools under the Pattaya Bureau in 2018. Then random sample with Purposive Sampling. The research tools are Semi-structured and in-depth interviews .Analyze data by content analysis technique. The results showed, the overall is high level of promoting the participation of parents and present a guidelines in the Provision of Education in Schools under the Pattaya Bureau  (= 3.99). Considering each term, the highest average was general management (=4.25). Next was academic administration (=4.21), budget management (= 4.19). Moderate action and with the lowest average was the personnel management (= 4.12). Guidelines on Promoting the Participation of Parents in the Provision of Education in Schools under the Pattaya Education Bureau, Administrators should Determine educational institutions development plans annual action plan to cover according to the school's strategy. Community and parents should be involved in the management of education by implementing development plans, projects, activities and then summarize results , improve and develop. Parental participation should be encouraged in teaching and learning management that can cooperate to develop the quality of learners to be more quality. should how to use various educational media technology to assist in teaching and learning management. And the important thing is to participate in the management of parents' education in order to provide more quality teaching and learning
