Abstract

This research aimed to study the level of happiness in teachers' work and comparing the happiness at work of teachers in the Secondary Educational Service Area Office Bangkok 1, teaching in different learning areas. This was a survey research a sample group used as teachers teaching in schools in the Secondary Educational Service Area Office Bangkok 1, totaling 1,460 students. Multi-Stage random sampling was used. The research instrument was a scale questionnaire. Estimated 5 levels (Rating Scale) with 24 items. Statistics used in data analysis. It consists of descriptive statistics such as frequency, percentage, mean and standard deviation, and reference statistics are One-Way ANOVA by analyzing with packaged programs. The results of the research can be summarized as follows : (1) Happiness in the teacher's work in the Secondary Educational Service Area Office Bangkok 1, at a high level the average score of happiness level was 3.70 and all aspects had a high average score. The relationship aspect had the highest average score of 3.76, followed by love at work. and the aspect of being accepted equals 3.75, and (2) Teachers teaching in different learning areas had different mean scores of happiness; teachers who taught in the Health and Physical Education learning areas had higher average scores than teachers. taught in Science learning areas and Social Studies, Religion and Culture learning areas were statistically significant at the .05 level, while the teachers in Science learning areas had lower happiness scores than the teachers in the 3 groups, namely the Thai Language learning areas, Mathematics and Art learning areas statistically significant at the .05 level.
