The Decision Making in Election of the Chief Executive of Hantapao Subdistrict Administrative Organization, Wang noi District, Phra nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province

Abstract

The objectives of this research were 1) to study the factors that affected the decision making to vote for the Chief executive of Hantapao Subdistrict Administrative Organization, Wang noi District, Phra nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province. and 2) to study the relationship between personal factors and factors affecting people's decision-making in the election for the Chief executive of Hantapao Subdistrict Administrative Organization, Wang noi District, Phra nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province. This study employed the quantitative research method by randomization the sample group of 347 electoral votes who were electoral votes in Hantapao Subdistrict Administrative Organization, Wang noi District, Phra nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province using a formula based on the concept of Taro Yamane. The instrument was a questionnaire. The questionnaire's confidence value was .81. The statistics used in the data analysis were Percentage, Mean, Standard Deviation and the correlation test with Chi-Square. The results of the research found that 1) The factors affecting the decision of the people in the election of the Chief executive of Hantapao Subdistrict Administrative Organization,  Wang noi District, Phra nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province, were the candidate's qualifications factor (x̅ = 4.54, S.D. = .516) , the candidate's policy factor (x̅ = 4.51, S.D. =.398) . And the least is the benefit or reward factor of the applicant (x̅ = 1.84, S.D. =.816) and 2) The relationship between personal factors and factors affecting people's decision-making in the election of the Chief executive of Hantapao Subdistrict Administrative Organization, Wang noi District, Phra nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province, found that personal factors were related to factors affecting decision making in elections. T the Chief executive of Hantapao Subdistrict Administrative Organization,  Wang noi District, Phra nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province, were personal factors of age. personal factors of marital status and personal factors in terms of educational level.
