Abstract

The purposes of this research were 1) to study mathematical problem solving ability after learning by using SSCS model and bar model technique and 2) to study mathematics learning achievement after learning by using SSCS model and bar model technique. The sample was 25 Prathomsuksa Five Students of one classroom at Anubanhanka School in the second semester of the academic year 2021 that was selected by cluster random sampling from 4 classroom. The instruments in data collection consisted of mathematics lesson plans on Percentage, mathematical problem solving ability tests on Percentage and a test to measure the achievement of mathematics on Percentage. Percentage, mean, standard deviation, and t-test were used for analyzing data and presented by table, chart and descriptions. The research findings revealed that 1) the students had mathematical problem solving ability after learning by using SSCS model and bar model technique were higher than 60% at the .05 level of significance and the students achieved an average of 28.40 points and percentage was 71 that the students had mathematical problem solving ability at the “good” level and 2) the students had mathematics learning achievement after learning by using SSCS model and bar model technique were higher than 60% at the .05 level of significance.
