People’s Participation in Waste Management in the Area of Dontako Subdistrict Administrative Organization, Muang District, Ratchaburi Province

Abstract

The purposes of this study were 1) to study level of People’s participation in waste management in the area of Dontako Subdistrict Administrative Organization, Muang District, Ratchaburi Provice. 2) to compare People’s participation in waste management in the area of Dontako Subdistrict Administrative Organization, Muang District, Ratchaburi Proviceto personal factor . Samples of the research were the 390 people of Dontako Subdistrict Administrative Organization, Muang District, Ratchaburi Provice. Sampling techniques were multi-stage sampling, proportional stratified random sampling, and simple random sampling. Questionnaires were employed for data gathering. Data was analyzed by statistical software. Statistics for data analysis were frequencies, percentage, mean, standard deviation, One Way ANOVA. The level of significance was set at .05. The results of the study revealed as follows : the sample had moderate of People’s participation in waste management. Hypothesis testing showed as follows : 1) the difference of age of the samples affected people’s participation in waste management at the significant level of .05 2) the difference of education of the sample did not affect people’s participation in waste management 3) the difference of occupation of the samples affected people’s participation in waste management at the significant level of .05 4) the difference of income of the sample  did not affect people’s participation in waste management.
