A Guideline to Promote Work Motivation among Subdistrict Administrative Organization’s staffs in Sena District, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province

This research has objectives to 1) to study work motivation among subdistrict administrative organization’s staff in Sena District, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province, 2) to compare work motivation among subdistrict administrative organization’s staff, and 3) to study a guideline to promote work motivation among subdistrict administrative organization’s staffs in Sena District, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province. Samples for the quantitative study included 163 staff working in the subdistrict administrative organization in Sena district, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya province. For qualitative research study included chiefs administrator of the subdistrict administrative Organization. Research tools included questionnaires and interview forms. For the quantitative data analysis, frequency, percentage, average, standard deviation, T-test, F-test moreover the LSD was used to compare two different means. To analyze the qualitative data, the content analysis was used.
The research revealed that 1) overall work motivation among subdistrict administrative organization’s staff in Sena District, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province was at a high level. Furthermore, the average scores of each perspective from the highest to the lowest are in the following order: Career path, work incentives, recognition, relationships with colleagues and supervisors, and work environment. 2) The staff of the subdistrict administrative organization in Sena district whose educational levels, length of service, and types of staff are different, have a significant difference in overall work motivation. And 3) A guideline to promote work motivation among subdistrict administrative organization’s staff in Sena District, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province included 1) salary and benefits increase should be considered, 2) Career plans for staff should be established and disseminated to staff, 3) Moral development activities should be organized, 4) relationship-building activities should be organized, and 5) spaces should be well-arranged and facilitate works.
