Health Perception Association with Behavior of Pesticide Using among Agriculture Growing Vegetables in Phop Phra District, Tak Province.

This descriptive study aimed to study the association between health perception and behavior of pesticide using among agriculture. Population in this study consisted of 414 agriculture growing vegetables in Phop Phra District, Tak Province. The sample size calculating used Daniel formula for 209 cases, and systematic random sampling was determined for collecting data. Data collected by questionnaires composed of 3 parts including, characteristics, health perception and behavior of pesticide using. In addition to check questionnaire standardization, validity was checked by 3 experts and try out testing reliability by Cronbach’s coefficient alpha about 0.91. Data analyzed using statistical as Pearson product moment correlation coefficient. The result showed that health perception had mean score at high level (77%) ( =2.77, S.D.=0.44). An association analyzed found that, factor was found association with behavior of pesticide using among agriculture with statistic significantly (r=0.287, P-value<0.001). Suggestion, health workers should build awareness increasing of behavior during pesticide used among agriculture growing vegetables, to solved the problems and harmful from pesticide using, for examples; to promote agriculture ware appropriate their clothes to decreases pesticide contacting.
