The Quality of Working Life and the Organizational Commitment of Government Officers in Sathon District, Bangkok Metropolitan Administration

The objectives of this study were 1. to study the level of the quality of working life of Government Officers in Sathon District, Bangkok Metropolitan Administration, 2. to study the level of organizational engagement of Government Officers in Sathon District, Bangkok Metropolitan Administration, 3. to compare the organizational engagement of Government Officers in Sathon District, Bangkok Metropolitan Administration. Classified by personal factors, 4. to study the relationship between quality of working life and organizational engagement of Government Officers in Sathon District, Bangkok Metropolitan Administration. The population consisted of 112 personnel of Government Officers in Sathon District, Bangkok Metropolitan Administration. The data were collected by questionnaire. The statistical tools used for the analysis were frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test, One-Way ANOVA and Pearson Product Moment Correlation Coefficient. The level of statistical significance was set at .05
The results of this study found that the level of the quality of working life of Government Officers in Sathon District, Bangkok Metropolitan Administration was at a high level (mean 3.81). The organizational commitment of Government Officers in Sathon District, Bangkok Metropolitan Administration was at high level (mean 4.04). The hypothesis testing revealed that, the differences in age had different quality of working life at the statistical significance level of .05 and the quality of work life was organizational related to the commitment of Government Officers in Sathon District, Bangkok Metropolitan Administration at was statistical significant of .05
