Achievement Motivation for Teachers' Performance in Si Sakhon District Schools Under the Office of Narathiwat Primary Education Service Area 1

Abstract

This study aimed 1) to study the level of achievement motivation of teachers in Si Sakhon District under Narathiwat Primary Educational Service Area Office 1, 2) to compare the achievement motivation of teachers in Si Sakhon District under Narathiwat Primary Educational Service Area Office 1, classified by sex, educational background, work experience, and the size of the educational institutions, and 3) to study the guidelines of enhancing the achievement motivation of teachers in Si Sakhon District under Narathiwat Primary Educational Service Area Office 1. The sample included teachers in Si Sakhon District under Narathiwat Primary Educational Service Area Office 1 in the academic year 2022. The sample size was determined from Krejcie & Morgan's table, resulting in 175 participants through a lottery without replacement. The instrument was the questionnaire developed by the researcher. The statistics used included frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test, and F-test.

The findings were as follows:

  1. The overall achievement motivation of teachers in Si Sakhon District under Narathiwat Primary Educational Service Area Office 1 was at a high level.
  2. Regarding the achievement motivation of teacher in Si Sakhon District under Narathiwat Primary Educational Service Area Office 1, male and female teachers' achievement motivation were different with a statistical significance of . Teachers' achievement motivation with different work experience was not different. Teachers' achievement motivation working in different sizes of schools was different with a statistical significance of .05.
  3. Regarding guidelines for enhancing the achievement motivation of teachers in Si Sakhon District under Narathiwat Primary Educational Service Area Office 1, challenging assignments or new positions in work, rewards, and team meetings to plan before the operation will enhance the achievement motivation of teachers.
