The Development of Writing and Spelling Skills by Using STAD Cooperative Learning Technique Together with Education Games for grade 2

Abstract

This research aims to 1) to compare the spelling skills of grade 2 students by organizing STAD techniques and educational games in the pre-school and post-school periods. 2) to develop a writing spelling skill for grade 2 students by Using STAD Cooperative Learning Technique Together with Educational Games with an the 80% criteria 3) to study the satisfaction of grade 2 students on Using STAD Cooperative Learning Technique Together with Educational Games. The samples used in this study are students from grade 2 students at Banwungprong school, Neonmaprang ditrict, Phitsanulok under the Secondary Educational Service Area Office Phitsanulok 2 who are studying in the second semester of academic year 2022. This group consisted of 20 students that were selected from purposive sampling. The research instruments used in this research were 1) Lesson plan by Using STAD Cooperative Learning Technique Together with Educational Games for 6 lessons, total time of 12 hours 2) 20 items of placement test of writing spelling 3) grade 2 students’ Satisfaction on using STAD Cooperative Learning Technique Together with Educational Games. The data were analyzed by using percentage, mean, and standard deviation,sample t-test dependent  .The research findings were as follows: 1) Comparison of spelling skills for Grade 2 students by organizing STAD technique and educational games after organizing learning significantly higher than before learning at a statistical level of 0.5 2) Comparisonof spelling skills for Grade 2 students by organizing STAD technique and educational games Grade 2 students had an average test score of 17.70 and a standard deviation (S.D) of 1.69, 80% above the threshold.3)The research found that the efficiency of spelling writing skills of grade 2 students had an average test score of 17.55 and a standard deviation (S.D) of 1.88, higher than the criterion of 80% 2)The results of the study on the satisfaction of grade 2 students towards Using STAD Cooperative Learning Technique Together with Educational Game was at 4.62 of mean and standard deviation was at 0.59 which was at the highest level.
