A Comparison of Thai Learning Achievement in Klong Sie Suparp Poem Composing Task of Mathayomsuksa Three at Klaeng “Wittayasathaworn” School Between A Group Instructed by Exercise Book and Those Instructed by Traditional Method

Abstract

The objectives of the study were (1) to develop and test the exercise book of Klong Sie Suparp poem composing task for Mathyomsuksa 3 meets the criterion 80/80 (2) to compare Thai learning achievement in Klong Sie Suparp poem composing task of Mathyomsuksa 3 before and after (3) to study the students’ level of satisfaction towards learning by exercise book of Klong Sie Suparp poem composing task.

          The sample population of this study consisted of 2 group. The first group was Mathayomsuksa 3/2 students instructed by exercise book of Klong Sie Suparp poem composing task and another was Mathayomsuksa 3/5 student instructed by normal method. The researcher used the simple random sampling method to collect two classrooms. Those two groups were studying in the first semester on the academic year 2022.

          The research instruments were (1) 8 lesson plans for exercise book of Klong Sie Suparp poem composing task (2) 8 lesson plans of normal method teaching (3) 8 exercise books of Klong Sie Suparp poem composing task (4) an objective test including 4 choices and (5) a form of levels of students’ satisfaction for teaching by exercise book of Klong Sie Suparp poem composing tas. The data collected were analyzed in term of mean, standard deviation and t-test.

          The result of the study were as follows:

          (1) The exercise book of Klong Sie Suparp poem composing task for Mathayomsuksa 3 satisfied standardized criterion efficiency at 84.16/86.76

          (2) The Thai learning achievement of a group instructed by exercise book of Klong Sie Suparp poem composing task was higher than those instructed by normal method at the the statistically significant level of .05

          (3) Student levels of satisfaction with instruction by exercise book  of Klong Sie Suparp poem composing task was at good level.
