Abstract

The purposes of this research were 1) to study mathematics concepts on

fraction of grade 3 students who were receiving instruction using an active learning with CPA approach and 2) to study mathematics creative thinking on fraction of grade 3 students who were receiving instruction using an active learning with CPA approach. Sixteen students in third grade at Wathongrattanaram School, who participated in the second semester of the academic year 2022 were the target group. The study’s instruments included mathematics lesson plans by using Active learning with CPA approach, mathematics concept test on fraction, and mathematical creative thinking test on fraction. Mean, percentage and standard deviation. The study’s findings were as follows: 1) Mathematics concepts of students who were receiving instruction using an active learning with CPA approach on fraction after learning were higher than before learning and were higher than the 60 percent, and 2) Mathematics creative thinking of students who were receiving instruction using an active learning with CPA approach on fraction after learning were at the “good” level.
