Abstract

The purpose of this study was to study the mathematics problem-solving ability on Concrete-Pictorial-Abstract (CPA) on conic section of Mathayomsuksa four students. The population of this study were 80 Mathayomsuksa 4 students of the 2022 academic year at Rayongwittayakom School. The sample of this study were 40 Mathayomsuksa 4/6 students who were selected by using cluster sampling. The research instruments consisted of lesson plans designed by using Concrete-Pictorial-Abstract (CPA) on conic section of Mathayomsuksa four students and a mathematics problem-solving ability test on conic section. Percentage, mean, standard deviation, and t-test were used for analyzing data. The results of the study found that the mathematics problem-solving ability of students on Concrete-Pictorial-Abstract (CPA) on conic section was higher than 70 percent at the .05 level of significance.
