Abstract

This research is a mixed study. The objectives of this research were 1) to study the problems of using English for classroom communication. 2) to study the satisfaction of learning English for classroom communication. 3) to Propose teaching and learning guidelines to promote the use of English for classroom communication. In this research, data was collected by interviewing to study the problems of using English for classroom communication. Questionnaire was used to study satisfaction with learning English for classroom communication by collecting from students in universities in Pathum Thani Province, totaling 400 people and using interviews and open-ended questionnaires to propose teaching and learning guidelines to promote the use of English for communication in the classroom. The results of the study were as follows: 1. Regarding to the problems in using English for classroom communication was found that; the number of students in the classroom, Anxiety in using language to communicate with classmates, time preparation need before using English for communication conversation, topics affect the use of language in class communication, effects the use of language in class communication. 2. The level of opinions of the students towards their satisfaction with learning English for classroom communication was at a high level. Considering side by side classified according to the variables studied, it was found that satisfaction with learning English for communication in the classroom. In terms of teaching, the average was high, followed by learning content, teaching materials Classroom activities and teaching and learning assessment, respectively. Choosing topics that are appropriate to the interests of the learners 4. Creating activities outside the classroom to promote and 5. Supporting learning from the environment to create motivation and speaking teachers should be A good role model in the use of language. 3.  According to the guidelines, it was found that there are 5 guidelines proposed in terms of teaching and learning to promote the use of English for communication, namely: 1. Classroom size design. Language appropriate for activities for communication. 2. Giving time to prepare. 3. Choosing topics that are appropriate to the interests of the learners 4. Creating activities outside the classroom to promote and 5. Supporting learning from the environment to create motivation and speaking teachers should be a good role model in the use of language.
