Abstract

The purpose of the research was to design a supplementary reading of Thai literature tourism on Ramayana for foreigner to gain their knowledge and understanding of Thai literature on Ramayana which related to tourism. The result of the study showed that Ramayana was associated with Thai culture and tourism through four genres including (1) Ramayana: mural wall paintings in Wat Phra Kaew (2) Ramayana: Giant Sculptures (3) Ramayana: Khon, a genre of dance drama and (4) Ramayana: Tourism. The designing of supplementary reading of Thai literature tourism on Ramayana for foreigner provides not only helping foreigners practice their reading skill but also gaining their knowledge about Thai classical literature on Ramayana. This also allowed them to have a better understanding about tourist attractions in Thailand, as well as the famous Thai culture too.
