A STUDY DEVELOPMENT OF TEACHER CHARACTERISTICS IN THE 21ST CENTURY, ELEMENTARY SCHOOL, CHATUCHAK DISTRICT, BANGKOK

Abstract

The purposes of this research were 1) to study the problems and problems of the characteristics of teachers. Primary School, Chatuchak District, Bangkok 2) Study of teacher characteristics development in the 21st century, Chatuchak district primary school, Bangkok 3) Propose guidelines for teacher character development in the 21st century, Chatuchak district elementary school, Bangkok And the population used in the research was the primary school teachers in Chatuchak District, Bangkok. Which is a combined research method (Mixed-Method Research) during the qualitative research. (Quantitiative Research) and quantitative research (Quantitiative Research) by using statistics such as frequency, percentage, mean and standard deviation. Questionnaires of 155 persons from 6 schools. The results of the research showed that The status of the development of teachers' characteristics in the 21st century, 9 aspects in general, was at a high level. In each aspect, at the highest level, the teacher must have loving and compassionate pupils. Teachers should always have compassion for the students as appropriate for the contemporary age. Teachers must train, teach, practice and enhance knowledge. Teachers must encourage students to seek knowledge and create good skills and habits. Teachers must not act themselves against civilization. Teachers must not seek benefits as bribes. Teachers naturally develop themselves. Both professionally The teacher should help and support the teacher. And communities in a creative way Teachers naturally love and believe in the teaching profession to act as a good model for students. And the lowest level was the teachers should behave as leaders.
