THE CREATIVE DANCE RESEARCH OF DRESSUP SCENE: PARADA NAREE SONG KHRUENG

Abstract

The Creative Dance Research of Dressup Scene: Parada Naree Song Khrueng Dance aims to create Long Song group performing. Long Song is the term of reverence meaning bathing or royal bathing. In which there are a number of male and female characters are not the same when perform together based on the concept of creating the traditional dance pattern of  work for Long Song dance and the principle of dance in Thai performing art. The data were collected from research documents, interviews, observations, and Long Song dance videos from Fine Arts Department. The study revealed that The Creative Dance Research of Dressup Scene : Parada Naree Song Khrueng Dance is the Long Song dance of Inao and his 3 consorts; Jintara, Mayarasami and Skarawati that combine the dance patterns of Long Song and Ra-Bum. It is separated to be 5 parts. 1) The composition for 2 lyrics used in the initial performance follows by Long Song dance in Inao. 2) Song and melody used in the performance starting from Samer song that sing Kaek Arwang at double floor to introduce the performer, Long Song Tone song in Long Song dance, and Kaek Gulit song at the end. 3) The male dressing style and the model from Fine Arts Department. 4) The dance props for 4 sets; casserole, bottle of perfume, and folding fan. 5) The dance design which separated to be 3 parts; 1) Starting with Samer song used to introduce the performer. 2) In the middle the performing used the Long Song dance of Inao and his 3 consorts consist of the dancing group of actress to explain the lyrics of the actor, the dancing of actor to explain the lyrics of the actress, the same pattern dancing of the actor and the group of actress, the different pattern dancing of the actor and the group of actress, and the pyramid of dance. 3) At the end the performance used Ra-Bum pattern with folding fan to communicate the courtship. Moreover the performance used row and movement design in Ra-BUM; grouping and multi-directional movement method. The advantage of this research is the dance pattern of creation: Long Song group performing, which can be used to perform in any other important occasion or the dissemination of knowledge about Long Song group performing for the future.
