The Influence of Motivational Factors upon Decision to Study in Educational Administration at Mahamakut Buddhist University

Abstract

The objectives of this research were as follows: 1) to study the motivations affecting the decision to study in the field of educational administration Mahamakut Buddhist University 2) to assess the decision to study in the field of Educational Administration Mahamakut Buddhist University 3) to propose guidelines for enhancing motivation in choosing to study in the field of Educational Administration Mahamakut Buddhist University. The sample group of this research was graduate students in Mahamakut Buddhist University, both at the master's degree and doctorate level, totaling 97 persons, with the scope of locations as follows: Department of Educational Administration Faculty of Education Mahamakut Buddhist University. The results showed that incentives affecting the decision to study in the field of education administration Mahamakut Buddhist University including occupation and the influence of others. The both were able to predict together 38.5%. When considering each aspect, it was found that all aspects are at a very high level. The average can be rated from highest to lowest as follows: Building, Instructors, Curriculum, and Image and equipment respectively. As for the development guidelines, it was found that in terms of image should promote the image with outstanding inside one side to be evident, in aspect of building should provide a parking building and should improve the building guide signs, tables, chairs, air conditioners, elevators, safety, libraries, computer centers to be sufficient and appropriate. Curriculum and teaching management, the curriculum should be improved accordingly and always up to date can actually be applied. Instructors should add more teachers and should be a variety of teaching to exchange learning or have other speakers to add. Teaching equipment should provide up-to-date educational administration books and complete all subjects. And there should be an inspection and maintenance of teaching equipment to be available at all time and should add about the internet system to be able to use continuously, effective chairs and desks should be sized appropriate for students and their use. Other suggestions are scholarships should be available, and more support staff should be added.
