Abstract

The objectives of this research are: 1) to study the state of using information technology for educational administration in primary schools in Pathum Thani province, 2) to study development process of using information technology for educational administration in primary schools in Pathum Thani province, and 3) to propose guidelines for development process of using information technology for educational administration in primary schools in Pathum Thani province. The mixed methods were used in the study. The quantitative data were collected by questionnaire from 265 samples consisting of school administrators and teachers and analyzed by percentage, mean and standard deviation. The qualitative data were collected by interviews with 5 experts and analyzed by content analysis.

             The results of the study were found that: 

1. 1. The opinion of samples towards using information technology for educational administration in primary schools in Pathum Thani province in total and aspects was at a high level. In descending order, the highest level was on academic administration, followed by general administration, budget administration, and personnel administration respectively.
2. 2. The development process of using information technology for educational administration in primary schools in Pathum Thani province indicates as follows: 1) In academic administration; teachers should be supported to use information technology in teaching and the information technology should be used in measurement and evaluation, 2) In budget administration; information technology should be used in budget planning, expenditure record, budget calculation through Microsoft Excel, materials and durable articles record, and document printing with Microsoft Word, 3) In personnel administration; data bank, personnel registration system, duty performance report, and individual information should be operated online, 4) In general administration; information technology should be used for analyzing school administration planning and public relations. School Health HERO system should be used in information management for student-assist system and secretary operation through AMSS.
