Abstract

The objectives of this research are to study the state of network support of Wat Phra Dhammakaya, the methods of organizing activities in network supporting of Wat Phra Dhammakaya, and to propose the process of organizing activities in network supporting of Wat Phra Dhammakaya. The mixed research methods were applied in the study. The quantitative data were collected by questionnaire from 335 samples consisting of monks and people participating in activities for network supporting of Wat Phra Dhammakaya and then analyzed by mean and standard deviation. The qualitative data were collected by in-depth interviews with experts and analyzed by content analysis.

The research results were found that:

1. The samples’ opinion level towards the state of network support of Wat Phra Dhammakaya was high overall. In details, the highest level was on Dhamma practice activity, followed by public welfare activity, volunteer activity, and public service activity respectively.
2. The methods of organizing activities in network supporting of Wat Phra Dhammakaya are as follows; 1) To plan and prioritize the significance of work, 2) To set up operating committee, 3) To operate the work as planned, and 4) To solve the weakness and to organize activities for the temple network support as follows: (1) To make the network understand the aim, (2) To specify the role, duty and responsibility of the network members, (3) To have the network members participate in their role and duty, and (4) To give a chance for every network member to share their idea equally.
3. The guidelines for development of organizing activities in network supporting of Wat Phra Dhammakaya are as follows: 1) In public service activity; the network members should be trustworthy, helpful, friendly and harmonious, 2) In public welfare activity; the center or network members should provide assistances to the victims of disaster and hardship and should provide scholarship for children, 3) In Dhamma practice activity; the center or network members should announce fixed schedules and should focus on Mental Development in the New Normal, and 4) In volunteer activity, the network members should arrange temple and community improvement activities, donate books to learning centers in communities, and participate community activities.
