The use of Dhammapada Storytelling Activities to Develop Moral and Ethical Characteristics for Students Mahamakut Buddhist University

Abstract

This research the objectives are 1) A study of Dhammapada storytelling for the development of moral and ethical characteristics for students. Mahamakut Buddhist University 2) Study the understanding of students' ethical characteristics. It is a purposive selection of 8 person from Mahamakut Buddhist University, Tambon Salaya, Phutthamonthon District Nakhon Pathom Province. by in-depth individual interviews Data was collected by interviewing. Subsequently, the data were analyzed by Interpretation of the main text as a whole and synthesize Presenting the results of data analysis by descriptive method. The results showed that 1) The Dhammapada contains stories about past karma, present karma, results of good karma, bad karma, and other virtues and ethics of the Buddha, monks, disciples, nuns, novices, nuns, laypeople, and general laypeople, including other non-human beings such as deva and Brahma.
