Innovative Government: Embracing Innovation in Public Sector Based on New Public Service

This article combines two concepts. The first one, that of innovative government is the result of the development of concepts and practices of contemporary public sector innovation. The second one, that of new public service is the concept emphasis on citizen participation in public interest democratically. The article argues that these two concepts lead to embracing innovation in the public sector based on new public service. The process of forming public spirit, citizenship, and democratic participation is the key to the quality of life of the citizens.
