Abstract
This article aims to conduct a thorough examination and presentation of the distinctions between Ombudsman and National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) entities in Thailand. It explores their historical origins, connotations, mandates, powers, complaint investigation procedures, operational modalities, outcomes, and the interplay between both organizations. The primary objective is to enable the public to assess whether Ombudsman and NHRC bodies exhibit overlapping functions and to propose potential constitutional amendments concerning the independent bodies afterward.
