The National Security in Justice System with United Nation Sustainable Development Goal 16 in Thai context

This academic article aims to study the principles of The National Security relating to justice system in customizing to Sustainable Development Goal, Goal 16 which is compatible to National Justice Administration Act B.E, 2549. The mentioned Act is an Act regarding justice system stipulating the prevention and solving of crimes; safeguarding security of life and property; and the protection of the rights and liberties of the people; the enforcement of the laws; and assistance for people in their encounters with the justice system. Such is done through the guidelines from National Commission for Justice Administration Development where the Prime Minister is the Chairman of the Commission. The Commission also has representatives from agencies regarding justice system and Office of Justice Affairs act as the Secretariat. The Office of Justice Affairs directs the national security issues relating to justice system under the mechanisms of Master Plan for National Justice Administration and Master Plan for Justice Information Technology. The two Master Plans are related to National Strategy which also incline to Sustainable Development Goal, Goal 16. Besides, the 4th Master Plan for National Justice Administration (B.E. 2566-2569) is linked to national security in 3 all dimensions namely: Providing justice according to laws, developing justice according to international standards; and 3. Building Networking for cooperation in justice administration. In Addition, it is necessary to seek cooperation among government sectors, private sectors, civil society and community; especially with the world community, for a true sustainable development at all level.
