ทฤษฎีความเป็นพลเมืองสัตว์กับหลักการการพิจารณาอย่างเท่าเทียม (The Expanded Citizenship-based Animal Rights Theory and the Principle of Equal Consideration)
Main Article Content
Abstract
This paper aims at presenting my view that the expanded citizenship-based animal rights theory [Citizenship Theory] of Sue Donaldson & Will Kymlicka is superior to the abolitionist theory of animal rights [Abolitionist Theory] of Gary Francione in terms of expressing and applying Gary Francione’s conception of the principle of equal consideration. The sections of this paper include 1) Gary Francione’s conception of the principle of equal consideration 2) How the principle of equal consideration is applied within the Abolitionist Theory 3) Overview of the Citizenship Theory per se and 4) My view that the Citizenship Theory can be interpreted as better expressing and applying the principle than the Abolitionist Theory.
