Buddhism and politics

Abstract

          Based on the study of following article “Buddhism and politics”, it has been found that Politics Government Administration which have 3 contexts from Political, Social and economy. In the Buddha’s lifetime talk about sovereignty 3 reasons are supremacy of self, supremacy of public opinion and supremacy of the Dharma or righteousness those are Characteristics of Moral man should have justice, Knowledge and good maturation which is under proper governance and be fair with 2 reasons are principle of Law and principle of Morality. Leader of rule has to adherence practices with appropriate principles such as conditions of welfare 7, prejudice 4, sublime states of mind 4, virtues of a gentleman 7, characteristic behavior 6. Leader who use the Dharma to govern called democracy that have authorization 3 kinds are Monarchy system, supremacy of the world or public opinion system and supremacy of the Dharma or righteousness system which have right to do anything not conflict to other person right or conflict with moral have the freedom to do anything as you wish, without barriers. Beside There are also equality rules of three characteristics of existence (impermanence / subject to suffering / non-self) and society such as Social class, sex and brotherhood are Unity in the group like Fellowship to use in Thai society which get influenced by the Western world. Present Thai society is under “Democratic rule by the monarchy” by the voice of the people to be Criteria for the application of state administrative procedures as constitution that defined duty of Thai people in section 66-70 for the moral of the Thai people to behave and practice as Buddhist principles appropriately. In Thai Democracy, the principles of Buddhism in the administration encourage people keeping in moral as Buddhism. It is a tool of Thai politics in presents that serve the King’s task in part of administration that the principles of Buddhism apply the administration of the country, etc.
