The Development of a management model to promote students’ skills in the era of new education for primary schools under the Office of the Basic Education Commission

Abstract

This research aimed to: (1) study the management components to promote students’ skills in the era of new education. (2) develop a management model to promote students’ skills in the era of new education. and (3) evaluate the appropriateness and feasibility of the developed administrative model. This study employed a mixed-methods research design. The sample consisted of 804 participants from primary schools under the Office of the Basic Education Commission (OBEC), selected through stratified random sampling. The research instruments included questionnaires, interviews, and focus group discussions. Data were analyzed using correlation statistics and Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA). The results revealed that all dimensions of student skills were positively correlated at a high level with statistical significance at the .01 level. Moral and social responsibility skills showed the strongest relationship with cognitive and learning skills (r = 0.953). The developed administrative model comprised six components and four key processes: planning, implementation, evaluation, and lessons learned and development. The CFA results confirmed that the model demonstrated a good fit with the empirical data. In addition, the evaluation of the model indicated a high level of appropriateness, feasibility, accuracy, and utility. The developed model can be effectively applied to enhance the quality of learners in the new education era in a sustainable manner.
