Abstract

Governing Asia Reflections on a Research Journey is an academic book in English created on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the founding of the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy. The book writers were part of supporting alumni and those who have previously collaborated on work with the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy to reflect their work experience. The content of the book reflects the six main topics of; 1) articles that reflect future policy-making issues, 2) articles reflecting public administration on national financial issues and environmental management issues, 4) articles reflecting issues of public administration and people’s quality of life, 5) articles reflecting the issues facing an aging society, and 6) articles reflecting human rights and social welfare issues. Each article strongly demonstrates that the past research and academic background of writers can predict future policy problems. The articles from the book can be used to forecast the future of our world and determine a world Road Map to the solution of the world's problems. The challenge is how we can develop present social policies to cope with global disruption that might arise in the future. The next edition would be very challenging for the book to include a more comprehensive and clear theme of writing for the author to benefit future global policy.
