Logistics Management in Health Promotion Tourism for Elderly Tourists in Samutprakarn Province

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to survey the health promotion tourism characteristics for elderly tourists in Samut Prakan province, analyze logistics management in health promotion tourism, and to study the satisfaction level of elderly tourists toward logistics management in health promotion. The population and samples of this study were the stakeholder who involved in logistics management in health promotion such as 385 elderly tourists, 5 travel agents, 3 and 2 community representatives total were 395 samples, by use interview, questionnaire. The statistical analysis showed the frequency, percentage, average, contents analysis for interview analysis, and hypothesis testing.

Research results found that the elderly tourists almost age between 65-69 domicile in Bangkok and central region province, married and obtained bachelor's degree, have moderate income between 10,000 – 20,000 baht. For Tourists' behavior plans to travel by themselves in a one-day trip. The logistics management in health promotion tourism for elderly tourists from upstream, midstream to downstream was agreed at a high level. Elderly tourists' satisfaction level in 6 issues: physical, information, logistics service, tourists attractive place, and personnel were the same at a high level.  Demography, gender, age, and income were not influenced by the logistics management satisfaction at a statistical significance of 0.05
