QUALITY OF LIFE IN CHRONIC KIDNEY DISEASE PATIENTS, GENERAL HOSPITAL IN 4th REGION, MINISTRY OF PUBLIC HEALTH

ABSTRACT
The purpose of this research is to study the quality of life in chronic kidney disease patients, and compare the quality of life of patients with chronic kidney disease in General Hospital 4th Region, Ministry of Public Health using multi-stage random sampling from chronic kidney disease patients undergoing hemodialysis total 54 persons. The research instrument for data collection was a 2-part questionnaire consisting of personal factors and a quality of life for chronic kidney disease patients test modified from KDQOL-SFTM Version 1.3 and .96 Cronbach’s alpha coefficients respectively. The data was analyzed by using percentage, mean, standard deviation, independent t-test and one-way ANOVA in two or more sample groups for comparison of quality of life of chronic kidney disease patients classified by Personal factors. The major findings were as follows:
- Quality of life in patients with chronic kidney disease, General Hospital in 4th Region, Ministry of Public Health was at the moderate level (M = 304.20, SD = 21.28).
- Mean score comparison of quality of chronic kidney disease patients, General Hospital in 4th Region, Ministry of Public Health by the duration of illness, and the duration of hemodialysis are differences statistically significant at the level .01. There was no difference between sex, age, education level, marital status and income.
