THE PACKAGING RIPE NAM DOK MAI MANGO FOR TRANSPORTATION : A CASE SUDY OF NAM DOK MAI MANGO ORCHARD IN CHACHOENGSAO PROVINCE
Abstract
The mango gardens in Chachoengsao Province. Investigators found that problems caused by packaging used to transport mangoes, ripe flower juice were ineffective in transportation. This causes damage in mangoes, ripe flower juice, such as bruising, spoilage or different weather conditions, including distance, which will cause subsequent damage. The researchers therefore aimed at studying the problems and nam dok mai mangoes that arise. To solve the problem of transporting ripe nam dok mai mangoes to consumers inefficiently. The researchers then applied the problem using fish bone diagram to determine the origin and cause of the problem, and then studied the packaging to apply the appropriate and effective approach to transporting nam dok mai mangoes. Using the packaging modification solution in transportation, the test took all four forms of packaging: corrugated carton and paper wrapping (original packaging), corrugated paper boxes filtered shredded paper and foam mesh, corrugated cartons with foam mesh separated by foam, corrugated cartons together with shredded paper and paper wrapping, and found corrugated cartons with foam mesh separated by foam.
