Exchanging experiences and developing social innovations publicize wisdom to create value for the aging

Abstract

The objectives of this research were to 1) study the exchange of experiences and transfer the wisdom of the aging in Pathum Thani, and 2) develop social innovations in disseminating wisdom of the aging to the public. The target group was 8 potential aging people with Snowball Sampling technique and then lessons learned in the form of articles or media published via Web Blog and social networks. The research tools were questions about exchange experiences and deliver the wisdom of the aging on 4 issues. The data analysis used content analysis. The results of the research showed that 1) the results of exchanging knowledge; 1.1) knowledge transfer experience by being a lecturer at the Ministry of Labor for short term in the aging club and those who are interested, 1.2) observing new technology knowledge, online courses and hands-on trials, 1.3) ancient wisdom linked to new knowledge  by joining the club, continue to earn extra income, register for OTOP products,  and gather together in the community to take care of themselves, and 1.4) guidelines for the delivery of knowledge wisdom to youth, therefore learning centers are organized across the country and creating networks and cooperation with local agencies through educational institutions with the aging as speakers. 2) The result of social innovation development in disseminating wisdom of the aging; 2.1) training/seminar results of Thai desserts wisdom and a demonstration of making Thai desserts via YouTube, 2.2) disseminating wisdom of the aging via Web Blog: The Aging Wisdom Network by SPU and sharing in social networks (Social Media), collect and write story telling articles on wisdom of the aging in arts and crafts, arts and culture, traditions, agriculture and education.
