Abstract

The purpose of this study was to study and find a way to reduce the cost of purchasing packaging in the warehouse. as well as optimizing the packaging rotation within the warehouse. from the study of the problems encountered is the use of revolving shipping packaging and consumables used in conjunction with packaging are costly. value 12,918,879.80 baht per year from the aforementioned problems, therefore, this project was made to discuss the cost reduction of packaging orders. and optimizing packaging within the warehouse. the process starts with improving operational processes to reduce the cost of purchasing packages. Pre-improvement data is collected from studies and surveys of past packaging order data and compared to current actual usage data. Then perform remedial work by grouping the packages. Determine storage space and stock packaging and push for reuse packaging. from the project implementation, it was found that the improvement results from the comparison 3 months before and after the renovation can reduce the purchase budget by 1,200,000 baht, reduce the actual purchase cost of 837,395 baht from the calculation, accounting for 7.5%, can reduce the volume of packaging orders got 157,028 pieces from the calculation, representing 56.38% and canceling the use of 11 packages, divided into 9 brown corrugated boxes, 2 postal boxes.
