Skill Practice for Development of Chinese Grammar Learning on Adverbs “又” and “再” of Students at The Faculty of Liberal Arts, Sripatum University, Chonburi

Abstract

This research aims to 1) test the students' comprehension of the use of adverbs "又" and "再" in Chinese according to the established criteria of 80/80. 2) To compare the learning achievements of the students before and after learning by using the adverb skills practice exercise "又" and "再" in Chinese. The samples used in this research comprised students from Sripatum University who were enrolled in the course CBC216, writing skills and Chinese grammar. These students were registered in the first semester of the academic year 2022, with a total of 33 students selected using a purposive sampling method. The results showed that 1) The students understood the use of the adverb "又" and "再" in Chinese as equivalent to 81.21/95.65, which were higher than the established criteria of 80/80. 2) The comparison of learning achievements among students who engaged in practice exercises on the use of adverb skills "又" and "再" in Chinese revealed that the post-test results were significantly higher than the pre-test scores, with statistical significance at the .01 level.
