THE STUDY OF GUIDELINE FOR STUDENT NEEDS TO GRADUATE REGARDING AVIATION SAFETY IN ORDER TO WORK WITH THE ESTABLISHMENT WHILE PERFORMING COOPERATIVE EDUCATION IN THE AVIATION INDUSTRYACCORDING TO THE CONCEPT OF A LEARNING ORGANIZATION: THE CASE STUDY OF COLLEGE OF AVIATION AND TRANSPORTATION, SRIPATUM UNIVERSITY

Abstract

This research aims to study the guideline for student’s needs before graduation regarding aviation safety in order to work with the establishment while performing cooperative education in the aviation industry under the concept of a learning organization: A case study of the College of Aviation and Transportation, Sripatum University. This research applied qualitative research design using an in-depth interview method with three enterprises in the aviation industries, both on the ground and in the air and three administrators of the College of Aviation and Transportation, Sripatum University. The interview form was used as a research instrument for this study. The results from the study of the guideline for student’s needs before graduation regarding aviation safety in order to work with the establishment while performing cooperative education in the aviation industry under the concept of a learning organization revealed that every organization in the aviation industry placed a high priority on personnel development and the importance of implementing Peter M. Senge's ideas for effective management. Therefore, from the organizational learning perspective, the management of the College of Aviation and Transportation, Sripatum University must be aware and give importance to develop the students as individuals aligned with the theory of Peter M. Senge and integrated the concept of aviation safety with the safety theory in the curriculum. As a result, the school could produce professional that meet the needs of the aviation industries, particularly in line with the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).
