Feminist Values and Standpoint Theory

Abstract

This article investigates the varieties of feminism. Complex sex of ideologies and theories, feminism, at its core is seeking to achieve equal rights for women. Feminism refers to a diverse variety of beliefs, ideas, values, and social movements.
It is the praxis that promotes changes to end the system of sexual oppression. The last section describes a new kind of epistemology: several feminist theorists began developing alternatives to the traditional methods of social research. The result is the rise of feminist standpoint theory.
