Study of Resin Material 3D Printing form Envision Tec Technology for Manufacturing in Jewelry Industrys

Abstract
The research is to study resin materials for making prototype jewelry using Envision Tec Technology in jewelry production and Wic 100 resin material testing in the molding process. This research is divided into processes. Step 1 It starts with collecting data of resin materials from journals, textbooks, and specialists who work in making prototype jewelry and 3D CAD/CAM design. Step 2 Wic 100 resin material testing in the molding process. Then, one pattern ring with computer 3D programs and printed 3D by Envision TEC of nine resin Wic 100. Every three pieces have been sending to three different sources. For each source, the resin was cast from three different processes including rubber molding, silicone molding, and direct silver casting. The results found that 1) resin Wic 100 from two sources give excellent rubber molds in shape and form while another source was incomplete mold. It can be suggested that the resin was broken during the compression mold process.2) The silicone molds from all sources were complete. However, this process is highly costly. 3) While direct casting gives all imperfect products, they showed porosity in some parts combine with rough surfaces.
