The Problem of Teaching Islamic Studies in Private Schools which Teaches Along with General Subject Based on the Concept of Learning in the 21st Century Skills

Abstract

The objectives of this article were: 1) to study the problems of teaching Islamic studies in private schools alongside general subjects using the concept of 21^st century learning skills. 2)to compare the problems of teaching Islamic studies in private schools alongside general subjects using the concept of 21^st century learning skills which are classified by occupation and quantitative.The population included two groups: 51 administrators and 185 teachers. The instrument for data collection is a questionnaire and interview the participants; the data from the questionnaire was statistically analyzed into frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation. Data from the interview were analyzed using content analysis and descriptive statistics. The findings of the study were: (1) The overall level of problems with teaching Islamic studies in private schools which teaches alongside general subjects based on the concept of 21^st century learning skills was low. When each aspect was considered, the aspect of instructional materials were the highest, followed by the curriculum and its implementation, and management of teaching and learning accordingly. The aspect with the lowest level of problem was multicultural (2) According to the findings of a comparison study of the issues of teaching Islamic studies in private schools alongside general subjects using the concept of 21^st century learning skills, administrators' opinion levels were higher on average than teachers. The administrators had the strongest opinions about the instructional materials out of all the areas. Although the average for the instructor is greater than the administrator, it was discovered that the student learning activities.
